The Loved Ones
Collection
When I paint for my loved ones, each piece is unique to them. It could be a collection of flowers from all the states they have lived in. Or a landscape from a place they hiked with my family. Or two symbols of sentimental value to be printed on fabric and quilted onto a stole.
In this collection, I'm extending to you some of my favorite works I created for some of my favorite people.

I'll let you in on a little secret -- I haven't always been artistic. In fact, up until recently, my kids would tease me lovingly about my out-of-shape drawings. There were hints throughout my life that I had an eye for color and pattern. But I lacked any confidence. Turns out, I just needed a little push.
On my 40th birthday trip, I picked up a book on watercolor at a library book sale. The first time I watched the pigment blend from one color into the other, I was hooked.
Discovering this new passion at the start of middle age taught me there is so much we still have to learn about ourselves, no matter how old we are or how much self-discovery we've already done. (Or how much we’ve been teased.)
I hope that as you scroll through my work, maybe bring some into your home or gift it to others, you find a source of beauty and delight. And maybe a source of inspiration that even yet, there are multitudes in you still.
